Call your customers from inside Odoo and log every call automatically
Telephony wired into CRM, Helpdesk, and the customer history
Odoo VoIP turns any computer into a business phone extension. Click-to-dial straight from the lead or ticket, automatic call logging on the customer history, recording, and integration with Asterisk and Brazilian SIP providers such as Nvoip and Vivo Empresas. Your sales and support teams gain productivity without switching screens.
Why Odoo VoIP?
Real results our clients achieve.
Click-to-dial
Click any phone number in Odoo to start the call right away. No typing, no wrong numbers. The agent makes more calls in less time.
Automatic call logging
Every call (inbound, outbound, or missed) is logged automatically on the history of the lead, contact, or ticket. No manual note-taking.
Recording and transcription
Record calls automatically according to company policy and reach the recording straight from the customer record. Essential for team coaching and dispute resolution.
Productivity reporting
Track call volume per agent, average handling time, and missed-call rate. Hard data for target setting and team tuning.
Features
What's included in this module.
Softphone built into the browser
A telephony widget embedded in Odoo: the agent answers, transfers, and hangs up without installing extra software. Works on Chrome and Firefox.
Asterisk (PBX) integration
Connect Odoo to your existing Asterisk PBX over SIP. Desk phones and softphones coexist, reusing the telephony infrastructure already in place.
Brazilian SIP providers
Documented setup for Nvoip, Vivo Empresas, Claro Empresas, and other SIP providers in the Brazilian market. Local billing with DID and Brazilian numbering.
CTI (Computer Telephony Integration)
When a call comes in, Odoo matches the number and opens the matching customer, lead, or ticket automatically. The agent knows who is calling before saying hello.
Call queues and distribution
Set up queues with round-robin or skill-based distribution. Odoo shows queue position and waiting time on monitoring dashboards.
Missed-call handling
Unanswered calls automatically create a callback activity in Odoo, assigned to whoever owns the customer. No opportunity is lost for lack of a call back.
Notes during the call
The agent takes notes while talking, and the content is saved on the record's history when the call ends, without interrupting the conversation.
Attended and blind transfer
Transfer calls to colleagues with or without an introduction. The receiving agent sees the customer name and the call context before taking over.
Automatic logging on the contact and open leads
When the call ends (answered, rejected, missed, or aborted), Odoo posts the direction, the duration, and a link to the call record on the contact's chatter. If the number matches open CRM opportunities, the same note is posted on each of them, and the text is rewritten if the call subject changes later.
Runs on Odoo Community too
For databases without Enterprise, telephony runs on the VoIP module maintained by the OCA community, which KMEE deploys and supports. Automatic call logging on the contact and in CRM works the same on both paths: the choice doesn't lock the client into an edition.
Reporting by period and agent
Dashboards with call volume, average duration, peak hours, and per-agent performance. Exportable to Excel for management review.
Native integrations
Odoo VoIP connects natively with other Odoo modules, no external integration.
Why implement with KMEE
The link between telephony and CRM is built by KMEE: when the call ends (answered, rejected, missed, or aborted), it is posted automatically on the chatter of the contact and of every open opportunity carrying that phone number, with direction, duration, and a link to the call record. That is what keeps the customer history complete without depending on the rep remembering to write it down. Around it, we integrate Brazilian telephony infrastructure (SIP trunks with Nvoip and Vivo Empresas, legacy Asterisk PBXs, call queues) and deploy the OCA community alternative for companies running Odoo Community. We also advise on the consent required for call recording under Brazil's LGPD and Law 9,296/96.
Who it's for
Scenarios where this module delivers the most value.
Sales team with automated follow-up
The rep sees the list of leads with pending call activities and dials in one click. The call outcome (interested, no answer, call back later) is logged and the next follow-up is scheduled automatically.
Support desk with caller identification
When the customer calls, Odoo opens the history of previous tickets automatically. The agent already has the context without asking. CSAT goes up and average handling time goes down.
Collections with an audit trail
The finance team uses VoIP to reach overdue customers. Every contact attempt is logged on the invoice history with date, time, and outcome, evidence if the case ever escalates.
Team coaching from recordings
Managers review call recordings to spot improvements in the sales pitch or the support approach. Feedback grounded in real evidence, not impressions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Odoo VoIP work with Brazilian telephony providers?
Yes. Odoo VoIP speaks standard SIP, compatible with providers such as Nvoip, Vivo Empresas, Claro Empresas, TIM Live Empresas, and others. Setup means creating a SIP trunk at the provider and entering the credentials in Odoo. KMEE keeps setup guides for the main providers in the Brazilian market and can run the integration together with the provider the client chooses.
Do I have to replace my existing PBX to use Odoo VoIP?
Not necessarily. If the current PBX is Asterisk-based or supports SIP, it can be integrated with Odoo without replacing hardware. Desk phones keep working normally, and agents on Odoo can use the browser softphone in parallel. KMEE assesses the existing infrastructure and defines the best integration architecture.
Is it legal to record calls in Brazil without telling the customer?
No. Recording calls in Brazil requires explicit consent from the other party, under Law 9,296/96 and LGPD guidelines. The standard practice is an announcement at the start of the call ('This call may be recorded for quality purposes'). Odoo can play that message automatically in the call flow. KMEE advises clients on recording compliance best practices.
Does Odoo VoIP work for remote teams?
Yes. The Odoo VoIP softphone runs in any browser with an internet connection. The remote employee uses exactly the same interface as in the office. We recommend noise-cancelling headsets and a stable connection (at least 1 Mbps dedicated per extension). On unstable links, forwarding to a mobile number keeps traceability in Odoo even when the call is routed to the cell phone.
Do I need Odoo Enterprise to use telephony?
No. Besides the VoIP that ships with Enterprise, there is the telephony module maintained by the OCA community, which runs on Odoo Community and is deployed and supported by KMEE. The automatic call logging on the contact and on CRM opportunities was built by KMEE to work on both paths, so the edition decision doesn't lock in the telephony strategy, and switching paths later doesn't mean rebuilding the CRM integration.
How does VoIP integrate with CRM? Does the call history stay on the lead?
Yes. Every call placed to or received from a number tied to an Odoo lead or contact is logged automatically on that record's chatter, with duration, timestamp, and room for notes and outcome. Rejected, missed, and aborted calls make it into the history too, not just the answered ones. The sales manager sees the full interaction history (emails, meetings, calls) on a single timeline, with no separate system to check.
